In 2025, Kirsty was named ‘Educator of the Year’ at the Swim England National Awards. The award recognises an educator who consistently goes above and beyond for their learners, and who helps shape the future of aquatics through inclusive, high-quality teaching.

What that means for your lessons
The same approach that earned national recognition is what you’ll find at the poolside. Kirsty takes time to understand each swimmer, whether that’s a nervous beginner, a child building their first strokes or an adult returning to the water. Lessons are structured and progressive, but always patient and encouraging, so every swimmer moves forward at a pace that feels right for them.
Kirsty is also a tutor who trains and mentors other swimming teachers, so the people learning with Swim Focus benefit from someone who knows not just how to swim well, but how to teach it well.
